Concrete Works
Comast Construction were contracted to facilitate the foundation and install for a new multi-story multi-use block constructed of shipping containers. This would be known as Des Box.
CLIENT: Urban Space Management
Works included foundation piling, excavation for the new strip foundations, concrete and associated underground services. Specialised grout was also needed for the levelling of the container boxes during their install to ensure that the finished floor level remained consistent throughout the footprint.
Comast also installed the new foul and storm water drainage systems for the project.
Measured Works
Over 250m3 of material was excavated and then replaced with new reinforced concrete sitting onto of newly installed foundation piles. Our Contract was in excess of £325k and constructed progressively allowing the install of containers once the concrete was cured.
